About Kuhan Chandru
Kuhan is a researcher working on prebiotic chemistry in the realm of Astrobiology. He was a research scientist at the Earth-Life Science Institute (ELSI) at the Tokyo Institute of Technology from 2014-2017. He now belongs to the National University of Malaysia (2018-now) and the University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague (2018-2022).
Kuhan’s first degree was in marine biology (University Malaysia Terengganu), and he went on to do his MSc in environmental organic geochemistry (at University Putra Malaysia). In 2010, he was awarded the Japanese government-sponsored (Monbukagakusho) scholarship to do his Ph.D. at the Yokohama National University, doing advanced material chemistry focusing on prebiotic chemistry.
